I mean, a transfer rumour section is usually to discuss POSSIBLE targets, and in City's case, it was interesting to discuss who we could conceivably get within our means and who might come here.

Now, though, the best players in the world will be linked with us and it seems any player is attainable, so what's the point?

Start a rumour about Messi. Yep we can afford him. Will he come? Dunno. What else is there to say?
