Goodbye Ireland, hello Milner

http://www.mcfc.co.uk/News/Team-news/2010/August/City-complete-signing-o...

Bit gutted about this, I think Milner's a good player just not particularly outstanding in anyway.

2 seasons ago Ireland looked like becoming a world beater, I still think he'll get his form back and would've loved that to be at City.

My favourite Ireland memories

1) 2005/6 season, either WHU or Brum at home he did an outrageous drag back then a behind the back side-foot pass to put Cole through (who fluffed the chance). An incredible bit of skill (I actually remember it!), when I saw that you just knew what potential he had

2) 2007/8 - last minute volley against Reading to win the game 2-1. It was only a normal league match but it was a fantastic moment to get a goal like that right at the death, the bloke in the row behind me was dancing a little jig to celebrate

3) 2008/9 - Hamburg away, he must've run 70 yards to get on the end of a return pass and score, again a fantastic goal.

Thanks for the memories Stephen!
