I'm in that London for work for a couple of days, and of course there's a tube strike. Not a problem for me, it's only 20 minutes walk to the office from the hotel (down City Road, which is nice).
So I step out of my hotel this morning - and it's just like coming out of Old Trafford after a derby! Traffic stationary and solid in all directions, buses crush loaded, huge queues at all the bus stops and hordes of people swarming in every direction, filling the pavements and spilling onto the road.
And surrounded by cockneys! :O
