Forums:

Apologies to ask but it's that time of year again. The site renewal is up and if you feel you would like to keep us running for another six months the assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Do not feel obliged - as always I value you patronage on the site and look forward to reading even more insightful banter over the coming months!!!

Lescott

Forums:

I've been really critical of him of late but I thought he was excellent on Saturday.

He's clearly had a bit of a rocket from Mancini, as he was fighting for every ball, visibly putting more effort in to win 50/50 balls and generally marshalling the defence very well - which he needs to do especially when Kompany isn't there to hold Savic' hand. Thought his distribution was markedly bettr as well and overall an impressive display from him.

Denis Suárez

Forums:

Excellent article about Suárez's contribution in a recent tournament for Spain's under-18s. Too long to reproduce, so click on the link:

It does sound like the Spanish U-18 team is built around him, which is good to hear. I suspect we might just start to see him pop up on the bench a few more times this season and hopefully get a few minutes on the pitch too.

Nerdic indicator # 10; City 3 - Fulham 0

SAME OLD CITY" : THE NERDIC INDICATOR

For the past seven seasons, I have convened an assessment of long-standing problems that had never seemed properly to be resolved; the sort of performance weaknesses that ought to have been capable of improvement with top class coaching . I tracked these to see whether I could demonstrate a measurable improvement; and the results did show a number of areas where we were doing much better - and others where familiar problems remained. I have edited the list in line with suggestions posted on the board.

That was annoying

Forums:

It looked briefly as if Chelsea might do us a favour. And I suppose they did in a minor sort of way. What a selfish player Sturridge is, the number of times he lost the ball or shot wildly instead of looking for a pass, and then stupidly giving away the first penalty to let them back in it.

Fulham Match Thread

Forums:

OK, lets stop worrying about the finish line and let's concentrate on the 3 points on offer on Saturday and the chance to put the Scum under pressure going into their game at Stamford Bridge. Will Pizarro start? I suspect he'll get the chance to come off the bench if we're looking relatively comfy at some stage in the 2nd half. I don't actually think we'll be greatly different in line up to the Toffees game, so Bert will be hoping for better form from some of the underachievers that night.

Crystal ball time

Forums:

Heres a chance to put your name to a simple prediction:
Take your (crystal) balls in hand and look ahead to QPR at home; is Vinny parading the Prem Trophy?
No qualifications, if, when, why and wherefore - just yes or no!
